Football History

Football is a ball sport, competing two teams, each with eleven players against each other. As with most team sports the goal of the game is to put the ball more often in the opponent's goal than the opposing team. The ball is mostly played with the foot here, except for their hands and arms, the fielder may also use other body parts. Only the goalkeeper may - within his own penalty area - play the ball with his hand.

The world`s today most popular team sport originated in the second half of the 19th Century in Britain and spread from the 1880s and 1890s in continental Europe and other continents.
